Field trip!
We're not just a big
playground -- we're a big classroom. In fact, there's a whole lot
of science going on here every day. Students and adult groups are both
welcome, and our staff would love to give you a tour.
Water Recycling
>
Our seven lakes are filled with recycled water produced
at our world-renowned Water Recycling Facility at the north end of the
Preserve. Recycled water is part of the State of California's fifth
grade science curriculum. To arrange a group tour of our Water Recycling
Facility, contact Melissa McChesney at 619-258-4680.
Birding >
Our Preserve is home to 175 species of waterfowl and
birds, from the Great Blue Heron and Great Horned Owl to the Woodduck,
which is thriving in our award-winning nesting program.
