FISH REPORT

Last update 9/01/10

Catfish

More tagged Catfish were added!! Last weeks stock included more tagged fish.  Need some extra cash or a weekend camping trip or possibly free fishing for an entire year?

David Evans of El Cajon caught a 14lb.5oz catfish at 7:30 a.m. out of lake #5 on bread. Derek  and Marquiz Cameron caught a 10lb.3oz. Catfish out of lake #7 on chicken liver, mackeral and squid.

Bass
The Bass bite has been consistent. The water temp. has been warm and the Bass seem to be feeding mostly during the cooler part of the day, which is during the morning and evening bite. Rattletraps/Crankbaits continue to do well if you have the patience to use one due to all the moss and weeds in the lakes. This leads to the topwater bite which has been picking up for those frog throwing enthusiasts. Plastic worms, senkos, lizards, mostly dark colors seem to do very well also. Don’t forget all Bass are catch and release.  John M. Corrao caught a 12lb. bass out of lake #4 on a fly line with a robo worm at 1:15 p.m. on August 28.
