The weather is heating up, the Bass and Bluegill are biting, sounds like summertime and the start of the Catfish season.
March through October, Santee Lakes will stock a total of 24,000 pounds of Channel Catfish. Is your Catfish tagged? It could be worth cash and prizes!

Spring Eggstravaganza at

Eggstravaganza is all about the egg!! Continuous egg hunts, live entertainment, pony rides, petting zoo, craft booths and carnival rides. This event is brought to you by Padre Dam Municipal Water District and the City of Santee.

Green Day at the Lakes

We host a Green Day at the Lakes event that consists of many volunteers from the community. The volunteers come to the Park and work for a few hours in exchange for lunch and relaxation. In the past these volunteers have helped us with special projects, such as: painting restrooms, repairing picnic tables, cleaning debris from the lakes, scrubbing fishing piers and repairing campsites.

Weekly Car Show by the Lakes - Memorial Day to Labor Day on Friday nights
Every Friday
evening
from April to October we host a free
car show for anyone who would like
to attend. The only cost to you is
the price of park admission.
Showtime is from 3 pm until the park
closes. Bring your chairs, car
stories, favorite beverages, picnic
baskets, barbeque fixins or shop at
the lakes general store, located
next to the car show. We'll spin
the tunes and supply the
entertainment along with our very
