The Lakes!

ParkofYearGreen

Paper or Plastic?

Santee Lakes is a 4-time, designated Plan-it Green Park of the Year! Our staff continually make efforts to earn this honorable award annually. 64 billion paper cups and plates are being thrown away every year in
the United States ending up in landfills, and we want to try to eliminate their use at the Park in our Cabins. We will now be stocking the cupboards with plastic plates, bowls, and cups. We will also provide ceramic
mugs and stainless steel utensils. Of course, we ask when washing the dishes, to please conserve water.

Clean your fish here!

Have you tried the new fish cleaning station?
It is so much better than your kitchen sink and is ready for you! The cleaning station is located on the east side of Lake 4, and is attached to the restrooms.

Leave No Trace

Thank you to all Staff and Volunteers that worked tirelessly to clean up after an incredibly busy weekend! Many of our guests left candy, trash, confetti and other items after their time at the Park.

Enjoy the Park, but please remember to clean up your items, we would really appreciate it!

Reminder:

We have so many beautiful birds that travel through or call Santee Lakes home, we hate to see them wrapped in fishing line. Please discard your line in one of the receptacles throughout the Park or a nearby

trash can. Thanks!
